Missionaries supported by Tower Church:

CALL OF HOPE:  Spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Muslims in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.  They produce and distribute scripture; Broadcast Biblically based radio programs; Provide aid to refugees; Church planting; Provide vocational training in addition to many other outreach programs.  Website at reachmuslimsforchrist.org.  

CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST (Cru):  Cru has placed a full-time staff person in Northwest Pennsylvania working to reach college students for Christ in the area. Currently, the campuses Cru is on in Northwest PA are Clarion, Edinboro, Grove City, Slippery Rock and Penn State Behrend. The representative for our area is Amy Fahringer. 

DEEP SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL:  Their goal is to provide clean water to the poorest of the poor in Haiti. They sell the product for $.40 per bottle which will last the average family 1-2 months. Selling chlorine provides income for the sales agents and helps defray a small portion of the total costs of ensuring that families can access safe water. They also educate families about the dangers of unsafe water so they will learn that their family’s health is worth this small investment. Our monthly donation helps offset the costs involved in provided clean water to remote areas of Haiti. 

INTERVARSITY USA: Vision is to see students and faculty transformed, campuses renewed and world changes developed. Currently, we are supporting Intervarsity USA at Curry College in Massachusetts. The goal is to reach students from all ethnic backgrounds by inviting them into community through prayer in their social context and through their academic disciplines by engaging the mind with a dynamic presence on campus. 

MEDICAL BENEFITS FOUNDATION – MBF: MBF is a Christ-centered organization dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals, communities, and nations through strategic partnerships with indigenous healthcare organizations. Purpose is medical missions; hospital development and support; nursing schools & scholarships; primary care clinics and women and children’s programs.

NANCY McGAUGHEY – SUDAN: Nancy is the health coordinator with ACROSS an interdenominational international Christian organization focused on South Sudan. It builds communities, upgrades education, strengthens churches, improves livelihoods, and teaches about health, HIV/AIDS, and household food security. Web site is www.pcusa.org/nancy-mcgaughey

PECOS VALLEY – NEW MEXICO: Hispanic ministry in the Southwest supported by the Presbyterian Church. It provides outreach to the poorest Hispanic Communities namely migrant workers, homeless, working poor. Adam Soliz works with boys and girls clubs, and Westminster Presbyterian Church. 

ESTHER WAKEMAN – THAILAND: Rev. Esther Wakeman is a mission co-worker in Thailand since 1979 serving at the invitation of the Church of Christ in Thailand. Esther serves as Vice-President for spiritual and community life at Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Payap University is the first Christian college in Thailand. 

JOHN & ESTHER WALDROP – ISTANBUL: John serves as interim pastor at Union Church of Istanbul and Esther teaches at the International Gateway Academy in Istanbul, Turkey. Formerly they were in the Ukraine.

MICHAEL & RACHEL WELLER – ETHIOPIA: Rachel supports the work of health clinics and facilitates Community Health Evangelism projects and trainings in the Gambella region of Ethiopia. Michael serves as a liason  regional liaison for the Horn of Africa working with partners in Sudan and Ethiopia.
